Our Network & Datacenter's

Our network has been designed and built on the foundations of multiple world class datacenters throughout the United States. We currently utilize three geographically dispersed providers located in Dallas, Chicago and Seattle. Additionally we are working on integrating additional infrastructure in Washington D.C. and expanding into the United Kingdom.

This diverse deployment allows us to increase the reliability and redundancy of our network. Should a malfunction or disaster occur in a particular datacenter or geographic location the rest of the network can continue to function without error.

Each data center is connected to multiple internet backbones such as InterNap, Savvis, nLayer, Level3, Congent, Global Crossing, Looking Glass and many others. If one or more backbones or switches becomes unavailable, there are fail over systems in place to transport data across other circuits to additional backup providers so that no downtime is experienced by our customers.

We maintain our own multiple DNS servers, unlike most hosts we do not depend on one server to handle DNS and the serving of customer web sites. Instead we dedicate each production server solely to hosting customer web sites and applications. This prevents additional administrative load and allows for the full resources of each server to be available to our customers. These name servers handle all DNS traffic and point your visitors to the specific server you are on in our network. Should one DNS server fail, there are two more to continue routing your traffic. Should we lose two servers, visitors still get your site without fail. We have one DNS server in each of our three data center locations.

Our server hardware is second to none. We depend on well known, name brand hardware that has proven itself time and again in such a demanding industry. We operate on Intel based Quad core servers with a minimum of 8GB of ECC RAM and multiple hard drives for in server backup. We perform additional off-site backups regularly to ensure complete data safety.

Each and every one of our servers are monitored by a remote (off-site) monitoring service which connects to the server on several ports every minute to ensure all it's services (such as http, ftp, mail, mysql and shell) are online and functioning correctly. Should a failure occur, our tech staff are notified immediately for quick resolution.
